Do you have public sector experience and a strong analytical skill set?

My client, a central government organisation is currently looking for an experienced data analyst to undertake a 3 month assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for finding efficient ways to organise, store and analyse data. Research and analysis of historical data alongside forecasting financial and commercial data.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Data management and reporting in an operational/commercial environment experience
• Proficient in the use of Excel and Access data bases
• Extensive experience of building robust data models alongside a strong understanding of data structures
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBl, Qlikview
• SQL coding skills
• Previous security clearance (not essential)

Main duties and responsibilities:

Data Management
• Act as the primary interface for data collection, management and release
• Work alongside key stakeholders within the organisation; support service provider teams to review existing data structures and ensure that they are fit for purpose
• Act as a central source for all data requests, ensuring that all data standards particularly in relation to data security are adhered to

Data Governance
• Conduct data profiling and analysis as data is collected as part of the on boarding process
• Provide ongoing monitoring of data quality through the production of DQIs, working alongside Data Owners / Stewards to escalate issues and data gaps
• Conduct ad hoc auditing of the central database to include reconciliation of data

• Develop and monitor a set of DQIs designed to understanding the quality of
• Production of ad hoc reporting in support of stakeholder briefings and preparation of business cases
• Develop and manage a suite of reporting to track the progress of all on-boarding activity

• Continually review all data processes to ensure that they remain fit for purpose and deliver value for money
• Provide regular progress reviews including timely escalation of issues

The role will be primarily based in central London. A successful candidate must undergo a CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) before starting 

This role has been deemed to be OUT OF SCOPE of I35 and is offering day rates between £350 - £440 depending on experience
