Multi-skilled Instrumentation Engineer - Hertfordshire - Days only
The Engineering team provides operational support to all their business units. They are looking for a Multi Skilled Intrumentatpion Technician to support the maintenance of onsite equipment , with a primary responsibility for Mechanical operations, providing a high quality, efficient service to the site.
An Instrumentation/controls biased Multi Skilled Technician, with experience working with various small reactor systems and pharmaceutical/lab based equipment within a GMP environment. Good problem solving skills, able to calibrate, repair and maintain a broad selection of equipment, also ensuring all maintenance documentation related to these activities are documented correctly. Must be a good communicator, who is customer focused and able to work with the end user, whilst ensuring good engineering practises are adhered to.
Types of instrumentation on site:
Temperature, humidity and pressure instrument loops, supporting BMS monitored HVAC, reactor systems, stability chambers/cold rooms and room pressure cascades.
Purified Water systems
Agitator speed sensors
VOC gas analysers
In addition, it would be desirable to have working knowledge of;
High integrity PCS
A formal Instrumentation qualification
Desirable (and salary dependant)
A formal qualification in a second discipline (i.e. electrical/controls)
Knowledge of Boiler Operations (gas) and Water Systems covering compliance with L8 Regulations Cooling Towers.
