Installation and Commissioning Engineer
Field and Site Based (Nottingham)
Salary negotiable depending on experience

Based in Nottingham, this manufacturing company produce a range of different machinery including industrial drying solution machinery for a variety of different industries and they’re currently looking for an Installation and Commissioning Engineer due to an increase in work.

This role would suit someone who has come from an Installation background, Maintenance too and has experience with the Commissioning of new machinery.

The Role

Working predominately in the field, whether this be UK based or internationally, the Installation and Commissioning Engineer will have full responsibility to ensure the successful installation and commission of machinery into customer sites.

The Engineer will also be responsible for fixing any faults that occur throughout the installation phase and if needed, fixing faults that occur after the installation phase, servicing the machine as required.

Within the role, you will also have to speak with members of the customer’s staff and ensure they are aware of the operation of the machine.

As part of the review of the installation process, you will have to write and deliver reports to senior members of staff, discussing the process, positives and negatives and how the process could become more efficient in the future.

When not away on work, you will be required to perform duties at the Nottingham site, which can involve preparing and testing machinery or working on the installation process as a whole.

The Person

This role will require someone with previous experience of Installation, Commissioning and potentially with a Design or Maintenance background too, although the latter isn’t necessary.

You will also have strong Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, which will involve reading complex diagrams and drawings in regards to the installation and commissioning process.

You should be able to Fault Find confidently on both Electrical and Mechanical issues.
Another part of the role will include Programming PLCs and HMIs using a range of hardware, so some knowledge of how to do this is integral.

You will need to be a strong communicator as you will be working alongside the customer’s staff.
