Reed is currently looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager. Our client is well-known international company based in Prague currently establishing new financial hub. In this role you will have an opportunity to build your team from the scratch!

As an Indirect Tax Manager you will be responsible mainly for leading of the EMEA Tax Team and driving the various indirect tax compliance activities for the EMEA region, primarily VAT returns. 

• Assist in the establishment and management of an Indirect Tax team;
• Be working with an outsourced provider, prepare and review Indirect Tax returns for multiple jurisdictions in the EMEA region;
• Ensure the team performs indirect tax compliance filings in the EMEA region
• Provide Indirect Tax technical assistance to support to the other activities;
• Maintain operations manuals and Standards Operational Process updates;
• Continuously monitor tax process and systems to ensure that that they are efficient, accurate, up to date and comply with current regulatory requirements;
• Actively identify opportunities to achieve improvements through setting up or participating in group projects;
• Assist in the development and implementation of KPI’s to monitor the VAT processes and performance of the team
• Keep abreast of changes to Indirect Tax legislation and how they impact the company;
• Maintain and foster good relationships with the Global Tax and Finance Managers and the Indirect Tax COE to align strategic direction

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of Indirect Tax experience in a Tax department of a multinational company
• Experience working in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies;
• Management and supervisory experience required, preferably in a shared service environment;
• Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes;
• Knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities;
• Ability to build, lead, and manage an effective team of highly-qualified and culturally diverse individuals.
• Experience with SAP and tax determination systems 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required
• Business-level English (speaking and writing) required;
