Independent Living Officer

We have a large housing provider who are looking to recruit a temporary Independent Living Officer for an immediate start and initially until the end of the year.

The ideal applicant will be fully experienced as an Independent Living Officer and looking for a new opportunity with a great housing provider. 

You will be based in one of their sheltered housing schemes on a full time basis Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and will provide a full range of support services to the residents.

You will have great confidence in dealing with vulnerable adults, excellent communication skills, and aspire to provide the best possible service to the residents.
With your support residents will continue to live independently. You will assist with completing a full range of application forms, dealing with a range of tax, benefit and financial queries, acting as power of attorney if required for financial services and ensuring that Safeguarding is paramount to all residents. 

You will also be responsible for undertaking needs and risk assessments of potential new residents, assist with accompanied viewings, advising on housing issues.

Please note that this is not a care provider role but is a full administration / managerial position.

A new DBS will be sourced for the successful applicant but you will need to be able to provide the previous DBS that you have completed for this role.
