Reed Education Cardiff are currently supporting a mixed 11-18 Secondary School based in Cardiff who are looking to add an outstanding Teacher of ICT to their existing team. This a permanent role to start September 2020 due to retirement at the end of this academic year.


ICT is an extremely popular options subject within the school, as a result is taught up to and including KS5, meaning there is a clear chance to challenge learners who are keen and enthusiastic about learning the subject. The school also runs a range of clubs and outreach opportunities for pupils to access the ICT curriculum, such as a Coding Club and lunch-time/afterschool clubs which you would be expected to bring your expertise to.


Due to the schools location public transport links to and from the school are excellent. The school is located within a manageable driving distance from most South Wales locations. Onsite parking is available based on a first come first serve basis for those who wish to drive.


This post would suite an NQT or experienced teacher with a passion for ICT.


To be considered for the role, you will be/will have:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS status);
  • A good honours degree or equivalent in ICT, Computer Science or another Technology related subject;
  • Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS4 (KS5 desirable);
  • A sincere desire to see all pupils improve and strategies to ensure positive attainment;
  • Effective class management with pupils at all levels;
  • Tenacious attitude with a devotion to self-improvement.
