REED Education are working closely with a special school in the Reading area to recruit for a Humanities Teacher to join the school in September 2020.
This position is permanent, paid to scale (MPS + SEN). The position is also open for experience as well as newly qualified teachers to apply for.
The school is a purpose-built special school in Reading for students aged 5-13 with high-functioning ASD.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of developing the school further, as a SEN Humanities Teacher, you will be working closely with fellow teachers, support staff and students to progress the school and student attainment.
The school are looking for someone who can support students to uphold a distinctive ethos and philosophy so that from the moment a student enters the building they will know this is a school where they are respected, can achieve beyond what is expected, become empowered to make positive choices about their own lives and have rich and varied experiences.
Being a “good” OFSTED rated school, you will be joining a team of experienced and supportive special needs practitioners with a drive to progress their students and the performance of the school.
With a team of experienced and committed teaching and learning support staff who hold specialist knowledge of autism and are passionate about developing their students' education and personal development. The school has small class sizes and additional support staff to support teaching across the primary and secondary curriculum. With plans in place for the school to expand over the coming years, there will be opportunities internally for career progression.
