Our well-established client based in East London with around 200 employees are seeking a tech savvy HR Manager who has a strong generalist HR background to join the business and support the development of the HR Officer.
What does the role entail?
As HR Manager you will provide first line support to all staff with HR related issues, create, amend and implement policies and procedures, as well as manage the induction and onboarding process, whilst the HR Officer will cover the related HR Administration, offer letters and contracts. You will look after the full employee lifecycle including any ER issues (which will include un-furloughing of staff as well as possibly restructure and redundancy) which will be with front line staff through to management, where you will keep up to date with employment law and legislative changes. This is not an exhaustive list and will be a fully rounded Generalist HR position as well as having other ad hoc duties and projects too.
What skills will you have?
You will be a very well rounded HR Generalist who can create a policy as well as amend one too, someone who can take ownership and lead the function, ultimately you will be confident in all things HR, a great communicator and relationship builder as well as someone who is proactive, independent and autonomous, someone who possesses great attention to detail and strong knowledge of UK employment law. You will be tech savvy and happy with HR systems and will ideally have CIPD Level 7 or an equivalent HR degree. You can either drive for this role or you can access via the DLR with a short 5-10 minute walk through an industrial estate. If you have used Select HR this would be an added bonus but is not essential.
What is on offer?
For this immediate start HR Manager role on offer is the chance to make this role your own as well as a total package of £45,000 - £50,000 (made up of base pay and attendance bonus) dependent on your level of experience. You will also receive 25 days holiday plus bank holidays which will grow by 1 day for every 5 years’ service with no cap. They will also match pension contribution to 5% too.
