My client is a large Educational organisation based in South Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a fixed term contract basis for approximately 9 months.

Job purpose:
Reporting to the Principal, to manage the provision of high quality and appropriate personnel support services.

Key duties:

• Ensure the delivery of a high quality personnel support service
• Checking Barred list and other agencies to comply with ‘Right to Work legislation’.
• Managing staff contracts and appropriate HR databases
• Responding to legitimate internal and external requirements for HR information
• Implementing employment policies, including the sickness and absence policies
• Responding to staff enquiries on contractual and pension issues
• Advising on grievance/disciplinary and capability matters as required
• Being responsible for the development and administration of the Staff Performance management system
• Implement the Performance management process
• Recording absences through sickness, holidays and leave of absence and producing reports as and when required
• Processing contracts and amendments to contracts to staff
• Producing staff training programmes
• Assist with staff induction
• Other ad hoc HR duties

Other Responsibilities:
Staff Development
• Administering and reconciling the Staff development budget
• Maintaining up-to-date records of staff training and development, and producing reports as required
• Recording absences through sickness, holidays and leave of absence
• Maintaining the salary spreadsheet to ensure the accuracy of the monthly payroll

Experience and Skills:

* HR experience within the Education sector
* Experienced HR Generalist 
* CIPD Level 3 qualified ( minimum ) 
* Experienced in dealing with complex Employee Relation Issues including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance management and sickness absence
