Reed HR are working with a very reputable Care Organisation based in Chelsea to recruit a Stand Alone HR Generalist for a 6mth Fixed Term Contract . 

The main responsibilities for this role will be maintaining and overseeing all HR related activities as required by the organisation. 

- You will manage the whole recruitment process from start to finish including, creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and on boarding new starters. 

- Monitor the progress of all employees, including holding exit interviews of any leavers. 

- Build an effective and resourceful recruitment strategy that benefits the organisation in both cost and efficiency. 

- Carry out pre-employment checks on all new employee’s including, references, pre-employment health assessments and DBS checks.

- Work closely with the Training Coordinator and management team to ensure all candidates receive a full and proper induction into their role and that appropriate records are kept.

- Provide HR advice to staff and managers on HR topics including attendance, timekeeping and performance management, and sickness absence. 

- To be first point of contact on providing advice and support to managers and staff on a wide range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance issues, undertaking initial investigations, arranging and advising at hearings, planning/collating and when required presenting any evidence, liaising with Trade Union representatives.

- Have an understanding of Sage payroll system and support Accounts and Payroll manager with up to date information about staff attendance and timekeeping including providing copies of doctors fit notes.

- Lead in the updating of any Policies and Procedures as required. 

- Ensure HR Information Systems are updated and maintained accurately and regularly. Including but not limited to leavers, lateness and absence data entry and the maintenance of personnel and staff related files.


The ideal candidate for this role will be looking for good development in a range of Generalist HR duties, but must already be confident at handling any and all HR queries initially in a professional manner. Excellent organistion and prioritisation skills are key for this role as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage.
