Our client in the Retail and Hospitality sector with multiple brands and multiple sites are seeking a well-rounded HR and Learning and Development Manager for a stand-alone position.

What will the role involve?

As HR and Learning and Development Manager you role will be 70% HR and 30% Learning and Development. The HR remit will be very generalist from the HR and Benefits Administration to ER, performance management and coaching managers on policies and procedures (amending these too) with everything in between, however recruitment will be covered by someone else. They are selling some of their businesses so you will be happy dealing with transferring of staff from one entity to another, redundancies, organisational change and dealing with a fast paced and sometimes high volume workload. You will also work together on talent engagement initiatives as well as looking after the training needs across the business, inducting new starters, looking at skills gaps in the business and designing and facilitating in house training programs.

What skills will you have?

You will have worked in a similar role to the one listed above possessing sound generalist HR experience as well as an aptitude for Learning and Development. You will be happy visiting different sites and be an approachable individual who is happy getting stuck in to all HR work including projects including TUPE off staff. You will be a multi tasker who can work under pressure with an ever varying workload, be a first class communicator who is proactive, resilient, assertive and persuasive who wants to work for a fun company. CIPD qualification or similar professionally recognised HR qualifications would be an added bonus!

What is on offer?
