Multi award winning manufacturer with offices in Ashford is seeking an experienced HR generalist with an open and dynamic attitude to join their friendly team. Team work is valued and encouraged in this exciting environment.

You will be providing generalist HR support to a defined group of managers with the key objectives of ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies while identifying and implementing opportunities to achieve improvement and best practice



Essential functions:

Proactively provide generalist HR advice and support to a defined group of managers in line with employment legislation, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures
Identification of opportunities to make improvements and achieve best practice. Leadership of / participation in approved improvement projects.
Mange the pay and benefits of a defined g group of employees in line with Company policies and procedures
Raise awareness of Company policies and procedures in relation to UK employment legislation via delivery of training workshops and regular liaison/updates with mangers/staff
Assist manager with the management of attendance issues including Short and Long term Sickness and Disability
Advise and assist manager with compromise agreements, assisted departures and liaison with external legal advisors
Assist managers to carry out disciplinaries, grievances and investigations advising on procedure, in line with legislation and company procedures. Liaise with external legal advisors as required.
Produce correspondence on behalf of managers relating to all areas of HR (EG. flexible working requests, grievance and disciplinary responses)
Design and deliver HR training workshops (EG. discrimination, harassment, bullying, performance management, absence management and employment law)
Assist the HR manager with any ad hoc duties and projects, specifically in identifying and driving improvement projects aimed at attracting, maintaining and developing an exceptional team and at improving the UK manufacturing HR function
Take shared responsibility for the day to day activities of HR co-ordinators and/or Administrators, determining priorities and objectives

HR information systems experience
Up to date Employment Law knowledge

Driving license and own transport to allow access to UK company sites at irregular hours.
