Reed are delighted to be woring in partnership with a fantastic engineering consultancy firm who are seeking an HR Advisor to join their Shared Service Centre in Gloucester.

Our client is looking for an HR Advisor to join their team to provide operational HR support for their group of companies.

Regular travel is required to other UK sites.


Reporting to the European HR Manager you should be a proficient HR Advisor capable of dealing with confidential information with integrity. You will be the primary point of contact for HR matters and the dedicated support when specialist knowledge is required Onshore, Offshore, Sweden and Germany. You will have excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels and be able to work with minimal supervision and manage your own workload whilst working as part of a team

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Provide guidance and support to Line Managers throughout organisational change, redundancy situations and disciplinary and grievance processes.

Assist in the running of the Support Service dealing with queries professionally and in a timely manner

Being the ambassador for HR Policies and Procedures while promoting the company values

Assist with Recruitment and Selection (including creating job descriptions and updating the Company Intranet and Website)

Using good knowledge of Employment Law to produce employee Contracts and Service Agreements

Liaising with other Advisors, Business Partners and Legal Counsel

Completing processes for new employees

Maintaining HR database

Processing employee benefits

Supporting the Payroll Manager

Complete exiting procedures

Coaching Management Teams

Assist with HR project work



Minimum 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including at least grade C in English and Mathematics

CIPD qualified and a desire to work towards Intermediate or Advanced

Knowledge of:
UK Employment Law
Policies and Procedures
Best practice for Recruitment and Selection

Desirable

Knowledge of:
Learning and Development
Payroll

Salary - dependant on experience
