 My client based in Skelmersdale are currently recruiting for an HR Advisor to join the business on an initial fixed term contract basis for 4 months. The role offers an excellent starting salary and great company benefits

This a really varied opportunity within a huge national business. Due to the recent expansion of the group of companies the current HR team require support with current projects and employee relations including the below areas. The successful candidate will need to be a confident, self-starter with HR knowledge to cover many areas of HR. Experience with the TUPE process would be ideal.

Salary and other benefits

  • Excellent starting salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday (Rises with long service)

Daily Duties

  • Providing advice and support to the management teams across three companies
  • Dealing with HR queries from the group of companies
  • Assist Managers to carry out investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings
  • Managing TUPE Transfer process
  • Sickness absence management including carrying out long term sickness reviews
  • HR administration
  • Update the HR system with current information
  • Travelling between Skelmersdale and site in Preston (Travel paid for)

Person Specification

  • Ideally CIPD membership
  • Previous HR experience is essential
  • Experience within TUPE would be beneficial
  • Intermediate to advanced level of MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Polite and friendly phone manner
  • Works well under pressure
  • Flexible approach to work hours
  • Neat and tidy in appearance
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, prepared to assist the rest of the team
  • An enhanced DBS check will be applicable if visiting our sites
