HR ADVISOR - CARDIFF

Would you like to work for a rapidly expanding company in the Cardiff City centre that values hard work, team fit and employee satisfaction? An opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join a great HR team and providesupport  across two sites in Cardiff and a London office.




The role will involve:-

- Recruitment - undertaking all stages of the recruitment process for various support and legal roles, to include: drafting person specifications, job descriptions and adverts; placing adverts; liaising and negotiating with agencies; conducting interviews and co-ordinating the selection process
- Giving advice and guidance to line managers and department heads in relation to HR policies and procedures; performance management etc
- Advise, coordinate and where appropriate take a lead role in grievance or disciplinary procedures
- Assisting and taking a lead role with various HR projects
- Conducting meetings with employees to include probationary, maternity / paternity
- Proactively assist in firm wide absence management to include, reporting on levels of absence and conducting meetings for all stages of the absence management process
- Presenting at the monthly company induction
- Collating and reporting of management information

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor, ideally CIPD qualified. As a guide we would anticipate that applicants would have a minimum of two to three years’ experience in recruitment and employee relations.

The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive recruitment experience.
- Taken the lead in all aspects of the recruitment process for a wide variety of roles.
- To demonstrate that they can translate a job description to an advert and person specification and manage the short-listing process.
- Experience of volume recruiting and recruiting at a technical level is required as well as being able to demonstrate a proactive and creative approach.
- Experience of undertaking formal meetings, up to and including dismissals.
- Where appropriate they will have advised and guided managers through this process.

An understanding of employment legislation and how this translates into the work place is required.

Effective persuasiveness and negotiation skills are key to this role. Good IT skills, ideally to include HR systems, are required coupled with effective and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Travel to the London office will be required on occasion.
