Tenant Support Officer
Kingston Area with some travel
37.5 hour week although Part time will be considered
My client a growing charitable housing organisation is seeking an experience Tenant Support Officer who is committed to the provision of quality housing for those with support needs many of the housing needs will be bespoke so you will be applying housing management to several differing housing contexts
The ideal candidate will be able to bring experience from the supported housing sector and will be delivering housing management services to tenants within a portfolio of supported housing properties occupied by vulnerable adults.
The main responsibilities will also include; managing a ‘patch’ of properties undertaking all housing management functions to include considering referrals, preparing tenancy agreements, signing up new tenants, dealing with Housing Benefit claims, managing rent arrears, dealing with tenancy enforcement, setting and managing service charge budgets, liaising with support staff, handling enquiries, property audits and estate inspections and point of contact with Registered Providers.
Candidates should preferably;
Hold a Housing Qualification OR equivalent in a related discipline
An understanding of housing law
Sound knowledge of housing management
Good communications skills
Understanding of confidentiality
Be able to make housing management visits and property inspections so travel required
