An exciting opportunity to join a busy team as a temporary housing assistant has become available for immediate start. This will be a customer service and administration role and would suit someone with strong customer service experience.

Job description:

-To provide a high quality service to all residents as part of the team, providing administrative support to team and wider colleagues.
-To provide a prompt, seamless support service to customers as part of the operational team
-Acting as the first local point of contact and dealing with customer enquires taking ownership to ensure a resolution based approach to the query
-To ensure all records relevant to the role, whether computerised or manual, are accurate and up to date
-Collaborate with internal colleagues and teams and external agencies to ensure prompt,
customer focused turnaround of vacant properties and mutual exchange applications
-To maintain garage tenancy records, process lettings and terminations maximising income collection and liaising with colleagues on inspections
-Collate and present data relating to performance and other housing management functions as directed by Neighbourhood Officer or Housing Services Manager
-To assist in arrangements for local community and resident involvement meetings and events

Candidate:

-Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to work
-Understands and uses appropriate methods (i.e. systems, processes etc.)
-Learns new skills and can apply them
-Absorbs and applies technical information
-Is able to plan, schedule and monitor own work within agreed deadlines
-Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work
-Produces routine letters, reports and other documents from standard templates
-Performs a range of activities in a variety of structured environments


Good numeracy, literacy and communication (written and verbal) skills
Good level of IT proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to prioritise workload

Monday to Friday 9-5pm, Bishop's Stortford
