Are you an experienced health and safety professional? Have you helped to make health and safety part of the culture of a company? If so, Oxford City Council have a fantastic opportunity to work in the wonderful city, managing a team that ensure good practice in health and safety across their property services function.
The ideal candidate would be NEBOSH qualified and evidence of continuing professional development is also essential. Experience in implementing health and safety and of managing a team in a way to ensure compliance and support improvements in the efficiency and productivity of a workforce is important. The environment is commercial so your approach needs to contribute towards this. The role includes being the primary lead for implementing all the health and safety codes of practices and procedures and providing assurance in regards to the Council’s housing service.
Having excellent communication skills and a proactive approach is key to working in this broad exciting role including attending partnership meetings as well as helping to deliver coaching to staff that provide the property service for the Council is also an essential and rewarding part of the role.
This vacancy is temporary till July 2020 initially, on a full time basis at £25.75 per hour
