Health and Safety Coordinator - £24,000 – Permanent - Ipswich

My client is a large logistics organisation that supports other businesses across various industries with supply chain solutions across. The business has a large presence across Britain. In this role you will be working as part of the operations team, and you will have responsibility to manage all health and safety requirements of the site and to ensure that the business are meeting all statutory requirements.
Working with management teams on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality issues and coaching managers to improve their skills
Identifying, monitoring and implementing corrective actions that arise from risk assessment, near miss reports, and accident investigations
Work with the HSEQ committee to ensure that corporate requirements are met
Put in place actions plans that overcome any issues and concerns identified by statistical analysis
Put together reports for management
To remain up to date on corporate, regulatory and legislative changes, and communicate these to management
Conducting site inductions
Attend training when required
Assist on other sites with site audits, inspections, visits and provide technical information
Experience within Health and Safety
Experience of the logistics industry
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Needs to be someone that can drive continuous improvement
Good presentation and training skills
Good Admin and HR skills
40 hours per week
25 days plus bank holidays annual leave
