We are working with a well-established property managed company based in Kendal with a portfolio that spreads across Cumbria, with over 50 years of trading history behind them in the retail and leisure sector, it now time to take on a new Project manager to oversee all the refurbishments / redevelopments on this ever expanding portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the portfolio of property for identified redevelopment and building projects. You will be highly motivated with a proven track record of delivering high quality building and maintenance projects and be able to demonstrate excellent project management and financial planning skills.

Duties
• Overseeing and coordinating all projects undertaken, working in close liaison with the client.
• Liaising with architects, planners, local authorities, national park authorities and other stakeholders to draw up and obtain planning permission for identified projects
• Responsibility for preparing all tender packs for distribution
• Responsibility for budget management
• Ensuring all projects comply with statutory regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Reporting to and liaising with relevant regulatory bodies
• Working to keep the five year plan up to date, presenting costed new ideas to the clients.
• Ensuring that the annual budget and business plan is delivered
• Liaison with loss adjustors
• Attending and reporting at Board Meetings


The successful candidate will have:
• Proven construction and facilities management skills and experience of commercial construction industry.
• A high level of commercial awareness and the ability to develop commercial opportunities.
• Substantial knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.
• A genuine interest in quality and appreciation of the need for excellent customer service.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
