 Our client is looking for a Head Chef for their fantastic events, catering and hospitality venue based in Fife. This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Head Chef to work with an independently operated company in a beautiful events venue with scope to progress further as the venue and company grows. This role would suit a Head Chef who enjoys variety in their role, enjoys the freedom to be creative designing menus which you will have along with costing and refining dishes for wedding and private dining clients.

Offering a salary of between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum there is also live in accommodation available for anyone looking to relocate to the area and stay onsite. Your typical working week would be Tuesday - Saturday or Wednesday - Sunday and you would be leading a team of up to three chefs but at times possibly on your own for smaller quieter events. There is also a KP to help out during large busy events. During quieter periods of the year for instance January - March a more regular working week of Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm can be implemented however this would consist of helping out with indoor or outdoor maintenance or gardening work.

Responsibilities:

- Menu design, planning and costing

- Sourcing quality local ingredients, develop and enhance relationships with local suppliers

- Stock ordering, rotation and ensuring regular stock takes are completed

- Consistently produce exceptional food as per recipes

- Manage the kitchen team leading by example and assisting in training staff when required

- Adhere to all health and hygiene regulations and internal policies

- Carry out cleaning in accordance with company cleaning schedule

- Engage with social media (Instagram) by producing photos of your dishes to display excellent standards of your work

- Assist with indoor and outdoor work in quieter periods of the year

Person Specification:

- Five years experience in a quality busy kitchen, management level experience of banqueting and event catering

- Driving license is mandatory

- Hygiene and first aid qualification

- Outgoing, friendly with the ability to lead a team but be self motivated to work on your own when required to do so

- Organised, flexible, passionate with a creative attitude to cooking and a professional but relaxed attitude to customer service

- Experience of classical and contemporary techniques within all kitchen sections
