Excellent opportunity for a Graduate Technician to join of on Northern Ireland's leading company's on a 3- 6 month contract.

Pay rate £7.99 per hour

The role:

A Graduate Technician is required to assist the Procurement Project Lead for the Belfast Hub Project. The programme for delivery of the project is extremely tight and this role is therefore required to assist with developing contract specifications and undertaking admin control in respect of the wide variety of requirements, with values in the range of £20k to £100m.


Reporting to the Procurement Project Lead for the Belfast Hub Project, the post holder will be required
to provide technical and clerical support associated with the management of tender competitions and
resultant contracts, as well as project planning and task organisation and delivery.
The post holder will assist the Procurement Project Lead in ensuring that all projects and portfolios of
work are delivered to the required key milestones and that all associated procurement risks are
mitigated.

The post holder will interact regularly with internal supply chain managers and external supply chain partners and suppliers in the delivery of the Hub procurement programme.
As an integral member of the Hub Procurement Team, the post holder will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in this major capital development programme.

Essential Criteria:


Experience of conducting investigations and analyses and proposing suitable and viable solutions to meet objectives
Experience of working to key deadlines and milestones
Degree in Civil Engineering or similardiscipline
Awareness of internal and external customer expectations
Ability to work confidentially with sensitive information
Experience of working with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to demonstrate team leadership competencies to drive others to complete on plans and commitments
Good understanding of business processes
Articulate and able to gain credibility at all levels of an organisation
Good analytical ability and a pragmatic approach

Desirable criteria:


Experience in the use of construction design software (eg AutoCAD)
