Calling all bright and enthusiastic Finance Graduates!

Reed Accountancy are pleased to be working with an International company based in Braintree who are looking for a bright and enthusiastic graduate who is looking to progress their career in finance.

You will be reporting to the Senior Management Accountant and will be responsible for preparing and developing management accounts for one or more of our customer groups. Working as part of the Finance team your role will include:

  • Profit and loss analysis
  • Month end period changeover process
  • Month end, quarterly and annual reports
  • Preparation of management accounts pack
  • Entering financial information into Sage, PeopleSoft
  • Adhoc data reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly drawdowns
  • Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Posting journals
  • Understanding and investigating implications of invoicing on the accounts
  • Supporting year end processes
  • Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations ensuring deadlines are met
  • Delivering accurate reporting on performance against budget and forecast.

Skills:

  • Good IT skills including working knowledge of Access and intermediate excel skills
  • Experience of using Finance systems, preferably Sage 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to spot trends/ errors and highlight/rectify
  • Good organisational skills to enable you to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
  • The self-motivation to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to interpret financial information accurately and excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A desire to learn and develop in the role
  • A first class degree
