Job Title: General Engineering Lecturer 
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £25,620 - £34,401 plus £8,000
Hours: Full Time 
Duration: Permanent 

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a Great College on an exciting new role in the Bedfordshire area.

Starting immediately, the college are looking for an outstanding General Engineering Lecturer to join them on a permanent basis. 

The College:

· Provides excellent education provision and supports the needs of learners and local employers
· Provide a huge selection of vocational courses and career opportunities from Entry Level up to University Level
· deeply committed to delivering quality teaching and learning and providing innovative educational opportunities to the community

The Role:

· You will be teaching the underpinning theory and practical activities related to General Engineering to full time and apprentice students
· You will be delivering the following units:
Machine components using milling techniques: C&G 2850, Unit 204
Machine components using turning techniques: C&G 2850, Unit 205
Using bench fitting techniques: C&G 2850, Unit 206
Using computer aided manufacturing processes: C&G 2850, Unit 207
Computer aided design in engineering, BTEC level 3
Mechanical engineering principles, BTEC level 3
Static and dynamic mechanical principles in practice, BTEC level 3
Mechanical science, BTEC level 3
· You will be working some evenings
· You will be working with learners aged 16+
· Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential

What you will need:

· A recognised teaching qualification
· Assessor and/or verifier award
· Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject 
· Ideally you will be able to contribute across the units which the college delivers 
· Excellent organisational skills and flexibility
· Good classroom management
