We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Housing Association based in Stafford for a Gas Compliance Manager on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of gas servicing and breakdown repairs contracts. You will be responsible for the Gas Safety Management, Quality Assurance and Compliance of work completed by Gas Service provider(s)
Our client require a seasoned and experienced Gas Manager with previous experience of working in a client based gas manager role with demonstrable people management experience, commercial knowledge and compliance knowledge.


Key Tasks
This is a summary of duties not a list of everyday tasks:

• General day to day management of existing and future gas service repair contract(s) and ensuring full compliance with duties under both general Health and Safety requirements and more specifically the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
• You will manage, develop and motivate staff to deliver high performing, value for money services which are responsive to residents in line with the Service Promise. You will also manage direct contractual relationships with service providers in line with agreed contracts.
• You will be responsible for the successful programme management and group compliance in relation to Gas, Solid, LPG, Unvented and Green Technologies. This will be in line with Group Policy, procedures, Legislative and Health & Safety requirements
• Maintain a high level of compliance with regard to managing asbestos contained assets.
• You will work closely with colleagues and other key stakeholders in ensuring access is gained to the Groups’ stock requiring annual gas servicing and is done so in adherence with the Groups’ policy and procedures on gas safety and access.
• Liaise and work with the Groups’ Compliance Manager and independent external gas auditors.
• Fulfil Client duties on boiler and installation programmes, working closely with the Groups’ internal construction company and heating installer
• Develop and maintain customer relations and resolve customer complaints.
• Provide technical support to engineers in the field and keep up to date with all relevant legislation and best practice
• Manage the service delivery of gas servicing and breakdown repairs via external service providers.


Requirements
An accomplished report writer and accomplished at analysing data and drawing out trends
Relevant ACS qualifications minimum requirements; CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CEN1, WAT1 HTR1 & CKR1
Level 4 RQF or VRQ in Gas Safety Management in Social Housing
Experience of managing all-inclusive gas servicing and maintenance contracts.
Experience of creating, managing and updating large data bases of statutory information.
Experience of commissioning and managing consultants and technical experts.
Experience of undertaking detailed investigations and producing investigation reports identifying root causes of failures and recommending improvements
Experience of managing contractors and working in partnership to achieve KPI’s and find efficiencies.

Strong IT skills
Full driving license and use of car at work
