Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a Great College on an exciting new role in the Surrey area.

Starting immediately, the college are looking for an outstanding Gaming Teacher to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role:

· Provide excellent teaching and learning for BTEC Gaming learners and support the raising of standards in accordance with the Corporate Aims and Strategic Objectives of the College
· Deliver high quality lessons in accordance with the college’s Teaching, Learning and Assessment Strategy, using the class profile to differentiate learning.
· Develop appropriate, engaging resources which can be accessed by students and colleagues on the College VLE.
· Accurately complete a register for each lesson.
· Design assignments which are clearly recorded on an assessment planner and distributed to students and issue assessments according to that planner.
· Mark student work, recognise achievement and provide developmental feedback in a timely way, which identifies ways to improve learning.
· Monitor and record individual progress with interventions which result in student success, including parental contact and report writing where appropriate.
· You will be working with students aged 16+
· Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential

What you will need:

· Recognised teaching qualification - Cert/Ed or PGCE
· Degree or equivalent in the related subject.
· Experience delivering BTEC Gaming in a Further Education setting
· Up to date knowledge of the changes to specification for BTEC Gaming and awareness of recent developments
· Good IT skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent time management skills
· Flexible and positive attitude towards new courses in the area
· Good classroom management
