A renowned, UK-based international children's charity is seeking a Senior Programme Funding Officer to lead on maximising income growth from major trusts, foundations, and government sources in order to support the charity's international and UK work.

The organisation was established over 70 years ago, by parents for children, and still remains a very family and community oriented charity! They work together with others to positively challenge unfairness, and believe in creating equal opportunities for everyone.

YOU WILL BE:

- leading the preparation, scheduling, and submission of six and seven figure funding application to international and UK grant makers
- leading the work of staff across the charity to identify new opportunities for funding that supports their strategic plans
- reviewing funders' contracts and terms and conditions attached to grant offers
- assisting and advising where necessary junior colleagues in the programme funding team on writing applications, creating budgets, and stewarding relationships with funders
- promoting positive images of the charity and cause wherever possible and presenting their international and UK work to donors and potential donors
- co-developing the agenda for the team's annual planning day
- deputising for the Head of Programme Funding, and undertaking any other duties compatible with the nature of this role

YOU WILL BE:

- experienced in achieving six/seven figure multi-year grants (from sources such as DFID, EU, lottery etc.)
- highly developed at negotiating and influencing others
- skilled in project management and time management
- able to produce, manage, and control budgets and interpret numerical data
- exceptional at writing, able to produce accurate and detailed high level reports and business plans
