• To ensure that company Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Legislations are adhered to: this will involve action and appropriate training
• Deal with complaints and to report them to F & B Manager
• Be fully conversant with facilities, service and promotions offered by the hotel and where appropriate offer this information to the guest
• Attend internal meetings where required
• Actively consider prevention, recovery and investigation of any complaints
• Take the bookings and ensure full and satisfactory service is given
• Ensure that the service area is always kept to the required standard and appearance as dictated by the hotel, in accordance with company policies
• Promote, assist and encourage other staff to further sales
• Take and ensure all customers orders and requirements are processed efficiently
• Ensure all service standards are maintained throughout the F & B operation
• Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations
• Supervising staff throughout their shift


• To be able to handle all guest feedback either positive or negative and record correctly
• Ensure that the team are correctly uniformed
• Ensure that the team are punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times
• To be responsible for the general security of the company property, departmental keys and stock
• In absence of the F & B Manager ensure that all new starter forms are completed
• Assist the F & B Manager in training and inducting all staff and record training to the agreed standard

• Assist the F & B Manager in coordinating and holding monthly team meetings, ensuring minutes are taken and distributed to the team
• In the absence of the F & B Manager manage staffing levels by completing rotas which match the level of business
