Maximising the income of the Group and its customers through the provision of benefit advice, income maximisation and assisting customers with benefit enquiries, appeals and backdate requests.

Whats my role?

To assist the Debt Recovery Manager in delivering a focused Financial Inclusion service to our customers with a view to maximising income, community enhancement and tenancy sustainment.

How will I do this?

• Develop and maintain links with financial inclusion service providers including welfare rights, debt/money advisors and credit unions

• Keep up to date on changing benefit legislation and communicate its impact across the group, ensuring that staff receive appropriate training in relation to any changes

• Raise awareness of financial inclusion and provide information, advice and training to a variety of audiences including residents and colleagues

• Raise energy awareness issues with tenants, offer advice on suppliers to include highlighting of charges.

• Record and monitor progress in reducing energy usage and carbon emissions, and to contribute to the production of quarterly reviews and performance reports.

• Be a specialist resource for the organisation advising and supporting colleagues and help them develop their knowledge
