An exclusive, Family Office based in Mayfair is looking to hire a Financial Controller. The business works on behalf of a set of high net worth clients managing all of their UK based interests. The role will report into the MD and will require an individual who is flexible in their approach due to the ad hoc nature of Family Office environments and able to operate with discretion and professionalism at all times

Duties include:

• Oversee the operation of the finance department and manage a team of 3
• Supervise and participate in the preparation of accounting records for Company & clients
• Produce monthly and annual financial reports including but not limited to Company budgets, cash flow, variance reports, and the preparation of Euro-based reports for Group consolidation
• Process VAT return (multiple companies)
• Coordinate the preparation of the statutory accounts and manage the audit process (multiple companies) with external auditors
• Liaise with Exec team and participate in monthly meetings
• Oversee and comply with the statutory filing requirements
• Maintain relationships with external parties; banks, auditors, insurers, clients and other large suppliers
• Analyse & review expenditure to identify possible cost reductions
• Oversee the inhouse payrolls of six companies (80 employees in total)
• Support MD in various projects as and when required, which will involve applying initiative and research skills as well as an understanding of the commercial environment

Applicants will need to be fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or equivalent) and have prior experience as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller in an SME office environment. Experience managing a small team is essential along with experience operating at Board/Executive management level. In addition you will need to have a flexible approach and be able to deal with ad hoc queries and offer a highly discrete, professional service tailored to each client.
