Working alongside another Finance Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

 Carry out daily invoicing.
 Send monthly customer statements.
 Maintain the nominal, purchase and sales ledgers.
 Reconcile bank statements - Sterling and Euro accounts.
 Reconcile Visa and cash transactions – Sterling/Euro.
 Prepare VAT returns - UK quarterly, ROI two monthly.
 Handle customer account enquiries.
 Telephone customers with outstanding accounts.
 Help with the administration tasks involved with the day to day running of the organisation.
 Liaise with solicitors/debt recovery agents.
 Produce quarterly management accounts.
 Liaise with the company accountants to prepare year end accounts.
 Run the Xero payroll at the end of the month.

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and accuracy. The ability to be able to organise time to ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently is important. Good interpersonal skills are required as you will be liaising with customers over invoice payments and helping them with their queries.
Given the nature of some of the tasks involved you will need to be capable of discretion at times.

Essential Criteria

 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role (or similar)
 Proficient in MS Excel

Desirable Critera

 Experience with Sage 50 or Xero
 AAT/IATI fully qualified or part-qualified
