Reed are currently recruiting for a Qualified Finance Manager for a global business based in the Medway towns. This is a newly created role and there will be many opportunities for you to add value from day one.

Direct reports: 2

 

Main duties;

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company including payroll
  • Managing and overseeing of the financial department, currently a Finance Officer and Payroll Officer
  • Contract with outside services for tax preparations, auditing and other financial needs as necessary
  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company together with the European team of finance managers
  • Monitor various tax declarations (especially VAT and corporation income tax)
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts regarding in cooperation with planning and control
  • Support the managing director and general manager regarding various scenario analyses and business performance reviews
  • Coach, educate and train the finance team
  • Check monthly and quarterly financial statements and support in completing them within the given deadlines
  • Preparing of the financial quarterly, half-year and year-end closing together with the finance team
  • Preparing of the CFO report including a monthly cash flow statement and forecast
  • Monitor and support with the various European Tax declarations (especially VAT and Corporate Tax)
  • Maintain documentation regarding transfer pricing and intercompany contracts
  • Guide and prepare the internal and external financial audits
  • Participate in improvement projects in Finance and Accounting
  • Management overview and knowledge of payroll processes/legislation to ensure employer compliance responsibilities met via team
  • Support the managing director with scenario analysis and business performance reviews
  • Preparing annual budget and quarterly performance reviews in cooperation with planning and control

 

Required skills, abilities, knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s  Degree in Accounting and ACCA/CIMA formal qualifications essential.
  • 8-10 year proven successful record of similar job within the area of F&A
  • Knowledge about IFRS
  • Good understanding and use of computer system (ERP system, Microsoft office, e-mail)
  • Accurate, organized and efficient way of working
  • Willingness to travel
