An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven, qualified accountant, to join this progressive organisation in their finance team.

My client, based in London Bridge is currently looking for a Finance Business Partner paying £55 - £60,000 depending on experience.


Key scope and deliverables:
- This role is responsible for delivering finance business partnering service to specific areas of the business (the specific areas are likely to change over time but will be covering budgets of between £35-50m). This includes supporting and enabling the business to make decisions but also provide challenge where necessary.
- This role is expected to lead/co-ordinate particular processes or parts of processes (e.g. co-ordination of the month-end reporting process/co-ordination of monthly finance reports and variance analysis).
- Help with the production of the year end financial statements, final schedules and liaise with the NAO in both the interim and year end audits.
Play an active part within the Finance team to ensure cohesive working across the department is maintained. Encourage a continuous improvement environment within the team.

Relationships and autonomy:
This role is expected to be able to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels within the orgainsation including regular contact with Executive Board members.
This role is expected to build strong working relationships with a number of teams internally including HR, other teams within Finance and Procurement and is expected to have regular contact with external stakeholders including DWP, EY, and NAO.

Education, qualification and professional membership requirements
- Full accountancy qualification is required (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, etc.).
- Good understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards, Government Financial Reporting Manual and Managing Public Money
- Strong management accounting experience
- Developed financial modelling skills
- Excellent communicator, particularly with key budget holders
