Duties will include:
- Providing a proactive & responsive range of financial & commercial support to the Business Units on behalf of the Finance service
- Assisting & supporting the Head of Finance Business Partnering in delivering business support to Group Services
- Monthly allocation of group service costs to Business Units. Calculating, posting & reporting on monthly allocations of Group Services costs to Business Units
- Providing analytical support to a range of projects such as Estates Strategy & Contract Tenders.
- Financial Modelling, Investment Appraisal cost benefit analysis, cash flow forecasting, monthly tracking of income & expenditure, reporting, and review & analysis of financial elements of Tender submissions
- Interfacing with Group Services Directors & Senior Management. Holding regular meetings to explain monthly performance, supporting with KPI's, forecasting & budgeting
- Month end Management Accounts, Reporting, and preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews & Divisional Board meetings
Experience / Qualifications required:
- Ideally a Qualified Accountant
- Experience in the Education sector will be highly desirable, particularly within an FE College
- Proven track record of working as a Finance Business Partner including supporting budget holders
- Experience of managing staff in a Finance role would be advantageous as would Investment appraisal & post investment reviews exposure
- Experience of maintaining accurate electronic & paper-based data recording systems
- Good Excel spreadsheet skills
This role will pay a salary in the region of £31,000 - £42,000 + Local Government Pension + 37 days holiday (including bank holidays) + excellent benefits package + Retail discounts.
