Reed Accountancy are currently representing a fantastic Company based in the City of London who are looking to bring on board a Part time Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven & motivated individual to join a growing, forward thinking organisation with the opportunity to further develop alongside an established Manager.

-Cover the membership finance and insurance elements.
-Preparing weekly bank reconciliations and ensuring adequate cash reserves are maintained.
-Full control of sales and purchase ledgers.
-Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
-Processing membership and other sales invoices.
-Reviewing and posting staff and credit card expenses.
-Supporting external accountants with the preparation of annual statutory accounts, including dealing with queries and posting journals to reallocate ledger entries.
-Ensuring fixed asset register is up to date.
-Preparing various prepayments and accruals journals.
-Ensuring financial procedures and controls are fully up to date.
-Statutory filings to HMRC and Companies House.

The ideal candidate will have a Financial Services background, have experience working within a similar role and will have:
- an excellent eye for detail
- a can do attitude
- willingness to deliver key business objectives within time constraints.

To be successful, the candidate will have:
-2 Years’ minimum accountancy experience.
- Be AAT Qualified.
-Experience of working with Sage50.
- Strong excel skills.
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-High attention to detail and ability to close out tasks.
-Good organisational skills with experience of working in a small team demonstrating willingness to support colleagues and contribute to wider team activities.
-Well-presented and professional approach.

Location: Canary Wharf
Duration: Permanent part-time
Hours: Flexible 2 to 3 days (Flexible on hours)
Start Date: January
