Reed Accountancy are currently representing a fantastic Media and marketing Company based in City of London who are looking to bring on board a finance assistant to cover maternity leave for 9 - 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a Driven/Experienced/Motivated Individual to join a growing, forward thinking organisation with the opportunity to further develop alongside an Experienced/Committed/Established Manager.
The role will be reporting directly into the Finance controller. As apart the role you will be responsible for all accounting responsibilities and ensuring the timely delivery of set business objectives within the team. As an overview you will be responsible for:-
Assisting with accounts payable invoicing and queries
Preparing the payment runs on a fortnightly basis
Assisting with staff and supplier expense processing
Preparing and finalising the sales ledger invoices
Reconciling bank accounts and cash postings
Supporting with time sheet codes
Setting up new client and vendor accounts
Support with audit and tax schedules
Posting month end journals including payroll
Assist with balance sheet preparations
Managing ad hoc and general reports
The successful candidate will possess an excellent eye for detail, a can do attitude and a willingness to deliver key business objectives in a timely fashion. In order to apply for this role you will need to ensure that you meet the below criteria:-
Have 2 -3 years of similar experience as a finacne assistant
Intermediate Excel Skills - Pivot tables, V look ups, Summifs
Paprika is desirable
Enthusiasm and drive to work independently as well as part of a team
Be able to work under pressure and obtain information quickly
Have excellent communication skills written and verbal.
