Reed Accountancy are currently representing a fantastic Company based in the City of London who are looking to bring on board a Part time Finance Assistant to join their team on a 12 month FTC. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven & motivated individual to join a growing, forward thinking organisation with the opportunity to further develop alongside an established Manager.

Job Description

-Preparing weekly bank reconciliations and ensuring adequate cash reserves are maintained
-Full control of sales and purchase ledgers
-Preparing and submitting VAT returns
-Processing membership and other sales invoices
-Reviewing and posting staff and credit card expenses
-Supporting external accountants with the preparation of annual statutory accounts, including dealing with queries and posting journals to reallocate ledger entries
-Ensuring fixed asset register is up to date
-Preparing various prepayments and accruals journals
-Ensuring financial procedures and controls are fully up to date
-Statutory filings to HMRC and Companies House

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be from a similar Background and have experience working within a similar role, or seeking to transfer their skills as a progressive step forwards into this post. The successful candidate will possess an excellent eye for detail, a can do attitude and a willingness to deliver key business objectives in a timely fashion. In order to apply for this role you will need to ensure that you meet the below criteria:-

-2 Years’ experience
-Experience of working with Sage 50
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-High attention to detail and ability to close out tasks
-Good organisational skills with experience of working in a small team demonstrating willingness to support colleagues and contribute to wider team activities
-Well-presented and professional approach
