REED Accountancy are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business to join the small team at Head Office based in Lytham St Annes.
This business is always keen to employ individuals who are hardworking, team players, have a good personality and confident users of accounting systems along with Microsoft Excel.
This is a full time permanent position, joining an existing team of 6 within Accounts including the Financial Controller, who you will report to.
Your main duties will include:
- Complying with procedures/processes within the finance function
- Sales & Purchase Ledger
- Book keeping
- Dealing with customer and supplier queries
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier Bacs payments process
- Ad hoc data analysis duties and provision of reports and analysis.
- Cover for staff as and when required eg holidays, peak times.
- Comply and adhere to all set timescales and deadlines
- Calculating salesmen’s commissions
To be considered for this role, your CV will include the following experience:
Previous experience in an Accounts environment
Experience using recognized accounting systems (Sage 50 Accounts preferably) and ability to analyze ‘ad hoc’ data reports
Able to work on own initiative and have flexible attitude
MS office applications – particularly Excel, Access database (preferable) and PowerPoint
IT related tasks
Working as part of a team
Communication at all levels
Our client is offering a fantastic package in return for your hard work, including a starting salary of £18,000 per annum with Salary review after 3 months.
28 days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
