Providing highly valued support through a variety of services, our client is enjoying a period of growth and transformation. They now have a requirement for an experienced and/or qualified Finance & Administration Manager to join the team on a full time permanent basis.
Working closely with the Chief Executive and supervising a small team, the successful applicant will be responsible for a varied remit and, in time, offer strategic financial support in decision making across the organisation. Key responsibilities include;
Financial Management – Ensuring a sound system of financial control is maintained & all risks are identified and managed;
Control income streams, expenditure & cash flows;
Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Management accounts;
Develop the budgetary and management reporting systems to include cost centre analysis;
Oversee the transactional accounting processes;
Provide financial input to contract negotiations to ensure value for money for service provision;
Update and maintain all Financial Policies and Procedures in accordance with legislative and internal requirements;
Ensure appropriate IT back-ups are maintained to protect financial data;
Assist with financial aspects of business modelling and development opportunities;
Statutory Account preparation;
Bank management and account control/reconciliations;
Manage the grant / funding Application processes;
Compliance adherence and management;
People Management - Lead and motivate the finance and administration staff;
Administration - Ensure best practices are in place to deliver on all administration activities;

It’s is desirable that you will be a fully qualified accountant however those who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You must be familiar with computerised accounting software such as Sage Line 50. All applicants must demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel skills and be experienced in using MS Office Suite also.
Candidates must offer previous experience of managing a small team of administration/finance staff. It is also essential that you offer previous experience in financial/data analysis, managing audits and working within a team environment.
