JOB TITLE: Purchase Ledger – sole role
CONTRACT TYPE: Temp-to-perm, full time
HOURS: Mon to Fri 9am – 5.30pm

My client, a manufacturer based in central London, are seeking to recruit a purchase ledger clerk on a temp - perm basis. The role will provide accounts and administrative support to the UK finance team primarily in accounts payable and also in other areas of the accounts function during busy periods. Successful applicants will be highly organised and good at maintaining a high level of accuracy in their work. They will be able to manage a variety of tasks and be confident at communicating with people both within and outside the organisation.


The successful candidate will be required to:

• Enter purchase invoices onto system including checking accounts coding is accurate.
• Maintain supplier accounts such as new account setup, investigating disputes.
• Process expenses claim forms includes ensuring receipts are attached, correctly presented, and coded
• Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements.
• Assist the management accountant with weekly payment reports and entering all payments.
• Assist with maintenance of stock records in accounting system.
• Support management accountant and financial controller in their duties.
• Other accounts and administrative duties for the finance department.


We are looking for strong applicants with the following experience:

• Excellent administration skills
• A confident, calm and collected individual
• Team player who enjoys working in a small team.
• Good basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience of working in accounts
• Experience of Sage accounting software especially Sage 200
• Experience of dealing with customers and/or suppliers

The role is expected to be temporary for 3 months before going permanent.
