Salary - £36000.00 - £39000.00 per annum + Overtime + Company car + benefits


Our client are the world's leading food processing and packaging innovator. Based in the North West, they are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer to provide technical service as a site based support at our customer’s site in the Dundalk, Carrickmacross, Newry, Carlingford area.

The successful Field Service Engineer will act as an ambassador for our client to maintain the company’s reputation for commitment and service worldwide.

The Field Service Engineer’s key tasks and responsibilities:
Install, commission and automate new processing and packaging equipment
Execute hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximise system Performance
Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on site and by telephone
Conduct production supervision and operator training at customer site
Establish and maintain a continuous positive relationship with customers

The successful Field Service Engineer will have the following attributes:
Recognised qualification within Electrical Engineering, i.e. HNC, BTec etc.
Demonstrable experience in PLC systems/controls and servo drives.
A working knowledge of Rockwell automation equipment would also be seen as an advantage
Demonstrable field service experience, preferably in the food processing industry
A self-starter with the drive and initiative to act decisively in the best interests of our client and their customers
Strong service skills and the confidence to interact with customers
Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to apply structure and priority to duties the ability to model, promote and embed high standards of safe working practice
