I am working with a successful company who are based in west Bergholt to find someone on permanent basis to join a small, friendly but busy sales team to help oversee their extensive motor dealer network.
My client is looking for a hardworking, self-driven Key field account manager.
As the key Field Account Manager you will be responsible for your own account base, you will maintain and improve existing relationships as well as seek out and create new ones by visiting motor dealers and building long term valued relationships.
The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of 18 months field sales/key account experience, be organised, dedicated, and competent with IT systems and have a polite & confident telephone manner.


Other duties will include:
• Maintain and further develop existing allocated motor dealer accounts
• Prospect and network through dealer contacts in order to win new accounts
• Identify and manage key account opportunities
• Achieve/Exceed sales targets and KPI’s
• Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of all relevant developments to ensure the account is managed successfully to safeguard and increase revenue streams
• Keep up to date with all product knowledge and regulatory requirements to ensure that the necessary standard of compliance is maintained at all times
• Feedback market intelligence
• Provide training and support to motor dealer clients where required
• Manage territory and diary effectively
• Maintain accurate dealer records via the CRM system in a timely fashion
• Present the company in a professional and confident manner
• Adhere to company processes and procedures at all times


Candidate requirements
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
• A minimum of 18 months in a field sales environment
• Good educational background with proficiency in Maths and English
• Enthusiastic with a can do attitude
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong and confident telephone manner
• Excellent people skills and a team player with a high level of customer focus
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to establish priorities
• Computer literacy/IT skills with experience of MS Office products. Previous knowledge of working with a CRM system would be an advantage
• Sound understanding of sales processes and techniques, especially the ability to position a value proposition
• Enthusiastic, flexible, resilient and capable of using own initiative
• Ability to collect, collate, understand and evaluate information and use it in an advantageous manner
• Knowledge of the motor dealer industry an advantage but not essential
You will also need to have a full driving licence with no more than 6 points for insurance purposes and be able to travel with occasional overnight stays a possibility.

Key features of this role:
• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £27,500 to £35000 /year DOE plus company car, phone, laptop
• Successful candidates will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus on top of the salary.
