A key player within the European Pharmaceutical industry and one of the fastest growing in the market is currently undergoing radical organizational change. The company is divesting from its larger subsidiary and is focusing on the generic pharmaceutical market. The company employs almost 3000 people and operates in 32 markets.

As part of this change, some of the main areas being affected are facilities, supply chain, logistics and distribution. As the site based in Prague is around 10000 hectares large, facilities management is a key focus for this company and this is why a new role of Facilities Manager has become available.

The main focus of this role: -

• Facilities Manager oversees all building-related activities. Is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.
• Facility Manager is well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs.
• Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency is mandatory.
The goal is to ensure our business’s accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.

Primary Responsibilities: -

• Plan and coordinate all installations (water treatment, telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
• Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
• Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Allocate office space according to needs
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts
• Keep financial and non-financial records

In order to do this role you will need : -
• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
• BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
