We are currently looking to recruit a Facilities & Operations Manager to provide an operational lead for facilities requirements to a College which has a 28 acre main campus and five satellite teaching sites predominantly in the Barking and Dagenham area.
The role is required on a temporary basis for three months until the role is filled permanently. The temporary candidate would have the opportunity to apply for the permanent role. Hours of work are Monday's to Friday's, 36 hours per week. On a permanent basis the salary would be £34,594 plus London Weighting approximately.
Our client is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with experience of:
Managing and motivating a team (the position has responsibility for 8 staff)
Experience with managing works via a helpdesk / CAFM system
Statutory and planned maintenance
Managing contractors, in particular security, as well as cleaning and grounds maintenance
Management of minor works
Desirable:Associate or Member status of IWFM
A good understanding of health & Safety, in particular in relation to contractor works
