Reed HR are working with a not-for-profit based in Central London to recruit a Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead on a temporary basis.
Working alongside the wider HR team and Senior Stakeholders, you will be responsible for helping the organisation formulate and deliver an overarching Equality Strategy to ensure that the Organisation is compliant with its statutory duties, reporting obligations, and pursuing best practice. You will monitor the progress of its KPI’s and ensure that is both member and staff-facing on all matters relating to race and equality.
Some of the roles and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Support the strategic development of the Organisation’s equality strategy in respect of the membership and the staff group, and oversee delivery against those objectives, working with key staff across the College.
- Work in collaboration with HR to ensure the people policies and processes take full account of its obligations under the Equality Act 2010 including meaningful Equality Impact Assessment.
- Produce an annual report on race and equality. Provide subject matter expertise to colleagues and across the Organisation responsible for collecting, monitoring, analysing, and reporting equality and diversity data.
- Facilitate internal equality-related meetings to make a positive contribution to the College’s race and equality work.
The successful candidate will have an excellent background in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, as well as have proven experience of equalities legislation and its application in the workplace. You will have led on Projects around Equality within a similar organisation and be confident working with senior stakeholders on a daily basis.
