Reed NCFE are recruiting an Employment Broker and it could be YOU!
Based in Sunderland College, REED NCFE are working to build relationships between the college and employers to increase the number of work experience placements taken by students.
Employment Brokers are responsible for the sourcing of sustainable employment opportunities for learners to achieve placements. An Employment Broker will use a variety of techniques including effective diagnosis, individual and group coaching to achieve sustainable employment for their registered learners.
Alongside working towards strict targets and guidelines in accordance to the programme obligations and REED NCFE processes, an Employment Broker will be expected to carry out any other duties as may be specified by their manager from time to time to help fulfil our core purpose… to connect the world of learning with the world of work.
§ Identify new business opportunities and convert into vacancies effectively
§ Promote and raise awareness of the entire range of benefits that are brought to the table by both REED NCFE and the partner college
§ Identify other employer-led business opportunities as agreed with Employment Team Leader/Operations Manager
§ Maximise on repeat business and develop the existing account base
§ Identify organisations with potential for providing recruitment opportunities at other REED NCFE locations

§ Experience of working in a customer-facing environment, e.g. Customer Services Assistant
§ Minimum of 2 A Levels (grade A - C) or equivalent.
§ Technical skills include the ability to use technology to deliver results, and knowledge of welfare/benefits system.
§ Personal interests include interest in career and self-development.
§ Personal circumstances include willingness to work flexible hours (e.g. to make retention calls, help run outreach activities outside of normal working hours).
