This is a 5 month contract with an equivalent full time salary equivalent salary of £28,000 (Please note this role is paid on an hourly basis of £14.36 per hour + Holiday pay)
To support the Operations Manager to deliver employment opportunities to people who are unemployed. Responsible for liaising with employers to ensure courses reflect employer needs, as well as ensuring all documentation is completed by candidates and tutors at the end of the courses and in line with departmental processes. The role will also include providing administrative support to the employability area.
To work imaginatively to engage individuals in the community and ensure that positive Job or work placement outcomes are achieved for all participants and create Back To Work Plans including personal goals and targets
To build rapport and establish productive working relationships with employers to ensure programmes meet the needs of employer.
To engage collaboratively with those responsible for EHWLC (recruitment service) to coordinate job vacancies via our employers, recruitment agencies, and other associates.
To establish productive working relationships with adults on the courses and ensure they are placed on the correct programmes through information, advice and guidance sessions.
To ensure information management systems are maintained with accurate records of employer and client contact details, client attendance, outcomes achieved, alongside evidencing training and employment targets
To develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation systems and ensure the project meets all its targets
To set up profiles of employers and businesses, to support the matching of candidates to current job roles in liaison with the Operations Manager officer.
Help set up and maintain learner tracking systems demonstrating progression to employment and be responsible for collecting destination data and presenting this information at regular intervals after completion of courses
To attend internal and external meetings with employability agencies such as JCP and other project partners and employers to ensure compliance with procedures and inform development priorities
To help market the Employability services to employers, Job Centres and referral agencies providing successful client case studies for marketing purposes
To liaise and work with other members of the cross College team to promote roles and develop joint working.
To develop effective links with employer networks and individual employers in order to create job opportunities for learners and build a database of employers prepared to accept our clients either on work experience or guaranteed interviews.
Responsible for the administration back up of all employability programmes as guided by the Employability Manager.
Significant experience of working in an environment which provides opportunities to jobseekers in collaboration with external employers in line with DWP regulations
Demonstrably successful experience of delivering employability frameworks in line with employers and learners needs
Track record of administrative excellence, successful collaborative working and delivery of outcomes
A demonstrable career history of providing advice and guidance to learners including Back To Work Plans and including personal goals and targets
