My client based in Bradley Stoke, North Bristol are currently recruiting for an Emergency Call Handler to join their team.

You will be responsible for receiving and dealing with emergency calls from members of the public as well as other health care divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking emergency calls and dealing with them in a calm and professional manner - This will also include following set procedures that are in place, for taking the calls

There will also be a number of calls from GPs and other health professionals that will need to dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Once calls have been taken they will be tracked on a computer system - which is linked to the relevant receiving hospital or health institution.

Dealing with transport requests and investigating any delays - and ensuring that the parties involved are informed of these

Dealing with general enquiries from the public and health care professionals

Administration and clerical duties as requested by the line manager

Skills and Experience Required:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a call centre environment and will be looking for a new challenge.

You should be able to stay calm and professional in an extremely pressurised environment and be able to record accurate information.

You must have excellent communication skills.

You must have good computer skills and be able to type quickly and accurately.

What's on offer?

The salary will be £16,968, plus 25% for any unsocial hours. Potential to earn up to £21,000+

The position will be full time and the training will be full time working Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Shift patterns to be confirmed and are flexible.

Shifts could potentially include, days / nights on a weekly rotating basis.

Permanent position, with annual leave entitlement, pension and other company benefits.

You must be available to start on the 30th of October.

You must not have any holidays booked for the first 4 weeks due to the training provided.
