Reed Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading company in the North Yorkshire area

They are currently looking for QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED and self-motivated Electrical/Mechanical Engineers to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Immediate starts are available.

Working as part of an established engineering team with headquarters North Yorkshire, you will be expected to travel throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities will include:


• Travelling to customer sites, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and fixing supplied equipment to ensure that customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Undertaking inspections and services equipment to ensure that customer downtime is avoided and throughput levels maintained.
• Installing and commissioning equipment newly delivered to customers so that they are operational as soon as possible.
• Providing basic operation and maintenance training to customer operators to ensure their ability to use the equipment safely and effectively.
• Interpreting schematics, manuals and other specifications to ensure that all services and repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
• Completing accurate and timely reports detailing work completed at each site and making appropriate maintenance recommendations to the customer to maintain performance.





The ideal candidate MUST:


• Be a qualified and apprentice trained Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
• Be skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical machinery faults
• Be skilled in working with gearboxes and bearings
• Be skilled in servicing and inspecting machinery and recording findings accurately
• Be skilled in installing and commissioning machinery
• Have a sound understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
• Have a full UK driving licence (ideally clean)

Flexibility is required in relation to working hours to ensure that jobs are finished. This will include regular overnight stays and occasional weekend work. Overtime will be paid accordingly.

Excellent basic salary of up to £32K dependent on experience with an OTE of £45K.

Full training will be provided. Other benefits: annual company bonus, contributory pension scheme, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising by one day every year of service up to 26 days plus bank holidays, phone, tablet, company van and fuel card, credit card, all PPE and tooling.
