Our client is a leading engineering company based near Norwich Aiport.

They currently require a Distribution Administrator to join the team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.  the salary range is £18000 whilst temping but may increase as point of permanent job offer.

Hours:

8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3.30pm Fridays.

The MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Distribution Administrator is responsible for supporting the activities of the Distribution team, primarily via the means of data entry and file management.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Producing the labels for the daily courier dispatch.
 Entering delivery details into the web portal of our pallet dispatch network.
 Ordering stationary.
 Producing manifests and delivery notes.
 Liaising with different departments within the business, from customer services to engineering.
 Communication with transport companies, customers and other third parties.
 Co-ordination visiting carriers’ drivers.
 Checking of all bulk loads leaving site for accuracy and quality.
 Inputting ASN data and booking deliveries.
 Compilation and analysis of departmental statistics.
 Maintaining relevant paperwork and providing PODs upon request.
 Investigating stock shortages and queries.
 Ensuring effective communication within the warehouse environment, production team & the local Heatrae Sadia management team.
 Reporting and logging of safety and site maintenance issues.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
 High level of computer literacy
 Clear understanding of transport and logistics systems
 Working knowledge of a busy distribution office
 Experience of export processes and paperwork
 Ability to deal with all stakeholders (from distribution drivers to busy distribution managers)
 Second language an advantage
 Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
 Clear understanding of an MRP system (M3/Movex/SAP etc.)
 Experience in managing multiple customers and order loads
